Geolocation Gaming in France: A Look at the Top 5 Apps in Q4 2023

The geolocation gaming scene in France has seen varied performance among the top applications in the fourth quarter of 2023. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insight into how these games have fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Niantic, Inc.'s Pokémon GO experienced a decrease in revenue, ending the quarter at $82K from a high of $177K. Downloads saw a dip to 11K in November but rebounded to 22K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed a declining trend, starting at 1.76M and closing the quarter at 1.18M.

The recently released Monster Hunter Now by the same publisher also saw a decrease in revenue, with earnings falling to $11K in the final week from $38K at the start of the quarter. Downloads decreased significantly after its launch, from 21K to just over 1K. Weekly active users peaked at 56K but ended at 30K.

Five Nights at Freddy's AR from Illumix Inc. had a relatively stable quarter with minor fluctuations in revenue, concluding with $252 in the last week. Downloads peaked at 8.2K in mid-November, while weekly active users saw a high of 18.6K but ended at 6.8K.

Jam City, Inc.'s Jurassic World Alive experienced an upward trend in revenue towards the end of the quarter, reaching $7.2K. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 1.8K in late October, and weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending at 19.7K.

Finally, Cartoon Network EMEA's Ben 10 - Alien Experience: AR, which did not generate revenue, saw a slight decline in downloads, with numbers falling from 1K to 715 by year-end. Weekly active users showed a small decrease from 1.5K to 1K.
